Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible in area of specialty, licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina
Special Training: Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques. Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in the treatment of patients.

NP or PA needed to work in a fast paced, high volume, internal medicine private practice. Would prefer experience working in the areas of diagnosis and care of acute and chronic conditions within an adult setting; however, will consider new graduates.

Job Description:
Perform clinical and certain administrative duties under the direction of a provider. This position requires interaction with patients in a courteous, helpful and compassionate manner. Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, IV fluids, EKGs, PFTs, UAs, PPD, vaccinations and injectable medications as directed by the provider. Administrative duties include scheduling appointments, requesting and sending medical records, addressing voicemail messages and mail as directed by the provider (copying, faxing, etc).
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited teaching establishment is required; One year of medical assisting work experience is required.
Job Description:
Responsible for efficient and orderly checking in and out of patients, registering patients in the computer ensuring that accurate information is collected, and ensuring patients are made aware of office policies. Answer all incoming telephone calls and routes to appropriate staff members. Schedules appointments, collects payments, and issues receipts. Maintains smooth operations of all front desk activities at all times. Must answer and respond to medical record inquiries such as general questions and printing and/or copying records.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent with excellent communication skills. One to two years medical customer service experience required.
