Ian Smith, MD

Dr. Smith grew up primarily on the East Coast in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New York, as well as Texas. He attended medical school in Charleston at MUSC, then moved to New York for an internship and residency. From there, he moved to Duke in Durham, NC, for his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine. Since then, he has acquired board certification in interventional cardiology, echocardiography, and vascular interpretation. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is also a member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society.

When not in the office, he enjoys sculpture and pottery and, most of all, romping with his dogs.
